Am I the next Donald Bren?

Probably not. Donald Bren is reported to be the wealthiest person in real estate in the United States of America with an estimated net worth of $15.5 billion. While I will shoot for the stars, it's unlikely I, or anyone else can duplicate his success.

I'm okay with that though. I recently developed an interest in commercial real estate, thanks to a few conversations with my father-in-law. After a recent conversation with him, I decided I wanted to learn more, but didn't know where to start. After a few Google searches about commercial real estate books, I landed on a page titled, "10 Commercial Real Estate Books You Need to Read." The author of the post, Tyler Cauble runs a blog centered around real estate and provides a ton of great resources.

I decided to purchase the first book on Tyler's list called, "Crushing It In Apartments And Commercial Real Estate: How A Small Investor Can Make It Big." According to the description, the book provides a beginner's guide to investing in real estate, which sounded to me to be exactly what I was looking for. I don't plan on purchasing any type of real estate anytime soon, I just want to learn as much as I can now, so when I am actually ready and able to invest, I can make informed decisions. If you are in a similar position, start with this book!
